You’ve reached the end of Summer break and you think to yourself, what have you achieved over the Summer that you can look back and be proud of?
It was a long, persisting summer that felt endless and daunting but yet brought with the hours so much wisdom and highlights to remember.
Driving Progress -
You were just barely 25 hours into your learners when Summer started. After going behind the wheel - through rain and thunderstorms, countryside, city side - you’ve now achieved 80 hours, with 30 hours left till you’re test ready. No cheating the hours. Driving would allow you to take back so much freedom and comfort. You look forward to having your own air space - replaced with a car air freshener instead of vape and smoke and endless stops, and no occupied bus seats.
USABILITY Unit -
You finally got the chance to study UI/UX design and you truly went above and beyond. You met the most amazing team along the way where we each encouraged each other to do our best. The environment of like-minded people learning something with the same passion and drive, whilst supporting each other truly made this unit special and drew your interest closer to a career that improves user experience.

Team Brainstorming Session for Recycling App - From starting from scratch…

…to overseeing the finish line for final high fidelity prototype screens
ACYA National Case Competition -
A competition you signed up to on a casual Tuesday night. You started from scratch and found a team of 2 others. Together, you relentlessly researched and brainstormed viable solutions to solve the business case all within less than 2 week! This was all new to you but you pulled it off and won semi-finalist!
MDN Manager -
AND you kept it all up, even during your trip overseas, successfully curating the Summer MDN Marathon Campaign with over 4 events including multiple workshops and the Project Showcase, AIxMarketing Foundations of Deep Learning Series, and publication of a brand new blog showcasing the various voices of the team, not to mention organising filming days for the Law and Ethics cross-collaboration with industry members! This was in par with internal Marketing initiatives such as managing the merchandise hoodie design and new 3D print Axolotl mascot. There were various challenges, such as the time difference overseas, planning and coordinating the strategy from day0 of hearing about the multiple planned events taking place to executing a seamless campaign, event logistics and curating the early direction of the designs that would take the student team forward, reflecting the innovative path of the field. Lastly, 80% of what you achieved was while you were positioned as Co-Business Lead, managing multiple responsibilities.
Self Development -
