Balancing both an Executive Lead role with part time jobs and full-time uni wasn’t easy but you made it through! You persevered. You made strategic calculations.
You decided to go for it and run for the 6.5km Dementia Event in the city - and hit your donation goal of $200 in less than 48 hours. Of course, I couldn’t have done it without Tyler and Jackie who were the most supportive and it was great seeing Omila, the president of SEED and MDN alumni there too!
A bit of a stretch, but attending my first concert! Surprisingly I’ve never been to one, but I finally went and the experience was surreal. The energy. The love. The unity. The energy that involves screaming and jumping with the whole stadium is truly electrifying and unmatched.
The long but awaited process of MDN Merch, after calculated revisions and 3+ survey evaluations (inclusive of the whole team), arrived at our doorstep! It was so satisfying being able to mark off the names of members who had purchased the merch and to receive such praise regarding quality was a cherry on top for the team, especially Veronica, was had been in charge of the merch design itself.
There was also Tech Industry Night, which had over 500+ attendees present (we stopped signing people in after 300) and it was great to see so many students connecting with industry partners.
No regrets going from my 8am class to helping out and organising preparations and overseeing till dark
: )
Establishing and advocating for a Mentorship role in a branch that isn’t Marketing and collaborating with multiple branches to do so after conducting a survey analysis of the newer recruits to identify potential gaps and improvements. Very rewarding.
Finishing a book (leisurely)! ( I know this sounds crazy, but sometimes it can be so hard to do so). I thoroughly enjoyed reading Jacinda Arden’s new book, “A Different Kind of Power.”
Simultaneously during the uni semester, I was applying to places and going through the stages of the Monash IBL Program. In the end, with gratitude, I was able to receive two amazing offers:
Getting the offer to intern at Talaria! Need I say more?
